Creating a concept to highlight the importance of New Zealand's first Africa Day in Silo Park Auckland. I wanted to create something more meaningful than an event video, something that spoke to the importance of such an event.

In a country with riddled with cultural appropriation from groups misidentifying as black and large numbers of first-generation Kiwi's struggling with their own cultural identity, I felt it was important to talk about what it means to be an AfroKiwi.
